Ohio Football Faces Final Non-Conference Game of Season
The Ohio football team (2-2) closes out the non-conference portion of its 2023 schedule with a road trip to face the Buffalo Bulls (3-1) on Saturday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET at UB Stadium.
The Bobcats are coming off a 37-35 come-from-behind win over the Fordham Rams last Saturday at Peden Stadium. Quarterback Kurtis Rourke threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner to Andrew Akingbade with nine seconds remaining.
Running back Sieh Bangura rushed for 127 yards and two scores, while wide receiver Sam Wiglusz caught a team-high seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.
The Bulls, meanwhile, are coming off a 49-14 win over the Wagner Seahawks last Saturday at home. Running back Mike Washington rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Cole Snyder threw for 200 yards and two scores.
Ohio Volleyball Hosts MAC Opener Against Toledo
The Ohio volleyball team (9-4) opens Mid-American Conference play this weekend with a pair of home matches against Toledo (5-9) on Friday, Sept. 22, and Ball State (10-3) on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The Bobcats are coming off a 3-1 record at the Dayton Invitational last weekend. Outside hitter Olivia Margolies was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 4.67 kills per set.
Toledo is coming off a 3-1 loss to Michigan State last weekend. The Rockets are led by outside hitter Ryann Jaqua, who is averaging 4.09 kills per set.
Ohio Men’s Soccer Travels to Western Michigan
The Ohio men’s soccer team (1-5-2) travels to Western Michigan (3-4-1) on Saturday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at the WMU Soccer Complex.
The Bobcats are coming off a 2-1 loss to Oakland last Saturday at home. Midfielder Noah Fogler scored the lone goal for Ohio.
Western Michigan is coming off a 1-0 win over Detroit Mercy last Saturday at home. Midfielder Alassane Diouf scored the lone goal for the Broncos.
Ohio Women’s Soccer Hosts Eastern Michigan
The Ohio women’s soccer team (5-3-1) hosts Eastern Michigan (2-5-1) on Sunday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at the Ohio Soccer Complex.
The Bobcats are coming off a 1-0 loss to Butler last Sunday at home. Goalkeeper Mallory Salata made eight saves in the loss.
Eastern Michigan is coming off a 1-0 win over Western Michigan last Sunday at home. Forward Melody Guy scored the lone goal for the Eagles.
